Hey everyone, this is BlueOtter, a remote correspondent for LFUR News. Over the past few years, I’ve attended about a dozen conventions, so I thought I’d share some planning and travel tips that I’ve found to save me lots of grief and time when traveling to cons around the country.
Some of these are no-brainers, but as the old saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. If I get some positive feedback on this, I’ll follow up with some at-the-con tips shortly for convention first-timers.

LFUR has the pleasure of covering MFM11 (Mephit Fur Meet) this year. We will be filming at the event to create DVDs, newscasts, and updates throughout the con.
Due to Tennessee’s media laws we are going to be asking conventioneers to sign a media release form when you register. If you would not like to be filmed please tell us so we can put a sticker on your badge.
